Changing the character..

Decided to change the character design for my book. The little guy just was not cutting it. Currently working on a new character and may have an announcement soon about having someone else do the illustration on my book for me. Just does not seem to be the time available for me to do it all.

Well here is the new and improved character for my book. He still is in the rough stages but what do you think?

Drawing frustration...

I guess what I am going through for the past few weeks to be honest is some sort of drawing frustrations. Let me say right up front I am no artist and have never claimed to be. I would love to be and I think I sometimes expect to much out of myself considering my experience. That said i have been stuck because right now some of my illustrations are not where I want them to be.

I have been putting off attacking these because I want perfection or at least what i think it is from myself. I am now working my way out of this thinking and pushing ahead and see where it takes me, I mean something is better than nothing right? I will be completing some scenes her very shortly and will start to "paint" in photoshop, another dragon I need to slay. Wish me luck.

Changes to my main character coming soon...

I know it has been awhile since my last post. I promise to start posting more on here, if i don't how am i ever going to get any followers right? Anyway I have re-worked my main character for my book. I will upload the changes tonight.

I feel the changes make the character look not only  more professional but also more appealing to kids and huggable, is that a word? Anyway look for him tonight and see what you think.

Still working on the book even though I have not posted anything recently. I guess it doe not matter yet as I have no followers LOL. Anyway I was stuck in the painting process until I got with Will Terry and after a few minutes he had figured out what I was doing wrong and now I need to get going.

I will try to post something shortly either colored on non-colored not sure right now.

This is a sketch for my new book. I think he will be cute once i get him refined and add the right values to him. He will be the first of a few characters for the book. He was fun developing and I can't wait to be able to put him in a scene and paint him.

Learning from a master

Just really focusing on Will Terry and his art. I love his style and I am trying to learn as much as I can from him. I have so much to learn but it's fun watching him and learning from him, his is my Yoda!!
